Dollar Car Rental

Not everyone owns a car. Some people who own them find themselves in positions where they don’t have access to their own car. Maybe their car is being repaired. Some folks try to avoid long trips in their own car. They want to avoid the miles of wear and tear on their own vehicle. This is a job for Dollar car rental.

Imagine this scenario. Your home is outside the city. You work in the city. You live near the railroad station. You don’t drive much during the week so why own a car? The car isn’t driven during the week days. Run errands on Saturday. On that day a car can be rented from a company like Dollar or Budget or Avis. Drive it around town to do all the things needed for that day, use it to drive to the local movie theater that evening, then return it on Sunday. That adds up to about $20 for all the necessary car use. Owning a car and paying all the insurance, registration, garage and parking fees, is a lot more than $20 x 52 or about $1040 a year. The car rental is a bargain.

If a car is always needed, then by all means purchase. If the school bus doesn’t run, someone has to drive the children to school. All the groceries may be too heavy to carry on a bus. That’s the time to buy. But with a little planning there’s no purchase necessary, just rent for the short term use.

Companies pay for each mile employees drive. It’s up to over 50 cents each mile. That’s $50 daily for a 100 mile ride. That same travel can be a lot less with a car rental. It makes sense, then, for companies to consider a Dollar car rental instead of having employees drive their own cars on business.
