talk to management, if that doesn’t work, call corporate right away and tell them where the franchise was and what happened…..or ask your insurance company to call!!!!!

Nothing you can do. It’s GONE. The best thing you could have done is what you did – called. Otherwise you would have had to go back there and physically check it out. BUT they clean out the cars within 30 minutes of receiving them and normally toss out everything they find in the car into the trash. So odds are, its gone for good.

Sounds like the rental place is shady. If they do nothing about it then call the Business Bureau in your area and file a complaint with them. Your items were probably taken by the person cleaning the car when you took it back. Hope this helps.

Don’t call the lost and found – ask for the manager of the office where you rented the car. Give them a detailed description of the items and the rental car contract number. Ask him/her to call you back within 48 hours with an update regarding the items. It is possible the car has been rented since then, but they have cleaned out the car since then.

Rental cars are cleaned when they are returned . Chances are your items were found but you may have a hard time getting them. It depends on the honesty of the employee who cleaned it. Contact the corporate office , explain what happened and see if they can help.

Chalk it up to a life lesson. Next time check the car for your stuff before you turn it in. I’m not sure you are going to get it back, and they will consider it your fault not theirs.

its always good to empty everything out of the car when you are done with it. Then if there is something the rent car place says is missing , you don’t know what happen to it.

Complain about what? That you left things in the car and returned it, apparently twice now? That’s on you, not them.
Don’t leave things in rental cars you want to see again.

when you sighned the agreement it states on there that they dont accept liability for any loss or damage to items left in the car.
